Roza Abenova is the Head of the Centre of Contemporary Art of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Co-Founder of Astana Biennale, the social fund supporting and developing the contemporary art of Kazakhstan. She has a vast experience working as the art manager of Master’s Gallery, the gallery of contemporary art (Moscow, Russia); founder of Aru Art, the gallery of contemporary art (Astana, Kazakhstan).
She is the associate member of the Art Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, awarded with the diploma of the Art Academy of Kazakhstan “For the contribution to the development of the fine art of Kazakhstan”. She has studied “Critics and curatorship in contemporary art” at the Institute of history of culture of the Institute of world economy and informatization (Moscow, Russia). Roza Abenova is the curator of more than 50 local and international exhibitions.
